Brenda, bless her cotton socks, was notorious for her themed parties. This year, it was “Totally Rad ’80s Throwback,” and Brenda had gone ALL OUT. Mullets (badly glued on), leg warmers brighter than a supernova, and a boombox the size of a small car blasting Journey.

The highlight, however, was Brenda herself. She’d proudly announced her costume: a “lost artifact of the era.” She was wearing the “Official Video 20xx Vcr Danger T Shirt Sweater,” a monstrosity she’d unearthed from her attic. It was a faded, beige sweater with a screen-printed t-shirt sewn onto the front, depicting a VCR with a skull and crossbones and the words “DANGER! DO NOT ADJUST TRACKING.”

Disaster struck during the limbo competition. Brenda, fueled by spiked punch and sheer enthusiasm, went for it. She bent backwards, straining to limbo under a pool noodle held precariously low. Suddenly, a loud RIP echoed through the room. The vintage t-shirt, weakened by decades of attic dust, had detached itself completely from the sweater, leaving Brenda’s pasty midriff exposed to the horrified (and amused) gaze of her guests. She landed with a thump, clutching the severed t-shirt, muttering, “Guess the danger warning was for me!”
