There’s something incredibly empowering about creating your own custom album cover. It’s a chance to express yourself, to make a statement, and to create a visual representation of your personal style. I recently had the opportunity to create a PS two album cover for one of my followers, and I wanted to share my process in hopes of inspiring you to embark on your own creative journey.
Choosing the Perfect Image
In this case, my follower, Najim Yusuf, also happens to be a model. I was thrilled at the prospect of using his professional image for the cover – the outfit he wore was absolutely stunning. When choosing your own image, consider the message you want to convey, and how the image can support that message. If you’re struggling to find the perfect photo, consider investing in a custom album cover print to capture your vision.
Building the Background
After selecting the image, I began constructing the background. I decided on a green color scheme to complement Najim’s outfit. I strongly believe that the background sets the mood of the album cover, so choose a color that resonates with your personal style.
For an added touch of personality, I added texture to the background. This simple yet effective technique gives your album cover depth and a unique feel. If you’re interested in exploring unique textures and color schemes, I recommend checking out the GNX by Kendrick Lamar custom album art poster.
Adding the Details
Once I was satisfied with the background, it was time to focus on the details. I added an outer glow to Najim’s image to give it a subtle pop against the green background. I also added a title text and a “fake company” logo for a touch of authenticity. The key here is to experiment with different effects until you find something that feels true to you.
For a more vibrant look, I changed the blend mode. This is a fun technique that can really transform your album cover and give it a professional edge. To fill the space and add more visual interest, I added random information and various logos.
Lastly, I included a circle text that enveloped the entire design. This was a small but impactful addition that really brought the whole design together.
The Final Touches
With all the elements in place, I turned my attention to the finishing touches. I darkened the bottom of the cover to give it more depth and make it look less flat. I also adjusted some of the colors in the background for a more vibrant look.
And there you have it – a custom album cover created in just 10 minutes! While I didn’t create the CD from scratch, I believe the end result is a testament to the power of self-expression and creativity.
Conclusion
Creating your own custom album cover is a rewarding and empowering experience. It allows you to express yourself and showcase your personal style in a unique and creative way. Whether you’re a music lover looking to pay tribute to your favorite artist with a Taylor Swift The Tortured Poets Department poster or a creative individual looking to explore your artistic side, I encourage you to embrace your inner artist and create your own custom album cover. And remember, fashion is all about self-expression, so don’t be afraid to let your true colors shine.
This is part one of me making PS two album covers for one of my followers. Today we’re gonna be doing Najim Yusuf. I messaged him and he was like, yo, let’s do it but this guy’s a model. It’s gonna be too easy. Like this fit is insane. I’m gonna skip right ahead and use one of my templates. If you want to know how to make this, you can go ahead and watch my YouTube video on it. If you’re balling out, you can go ahead and buy a template on my Patreon. Okay, let’s actually start doing this. I’m gonna go ahead and add the photo in this gap over here. I’mma let my boy chat GBT do it. I’mma separate him from the background. I want this background to be kind of like green. Now for him I’m gonna do an outer glow. I’mma duplicate that and give that a Gaussian blur and now it’s popping a little bit more okay, now for the title text, I already made a video on how to do this. It takes like 5 steps and this already has like 3 strokes on it but I’mma add another stroke just add a text. I’m gonna add some fake company thing. I’m just gonna fill this gap with a lot of fake info. I’m gonna go ahead and add a bunch of these. Yeah, change the blend mode, get a little bit more vibrant that this looks like one of those Fake Cds. I’mma change some of the colors in the background. This is looking a little bit more vibrant. I’mma add texture onto the background just to give it a little bit more a little bit more personality. Lastly, I make this bottom bit a little bit darker just to make it all look less flat. and I forgot to add these circle text that goes around everything. That’s pretty much it, bro. This took me like 10 minutes. Obviously I didn’t make the CD from scratch, but still, if you wanna be next, comment your username and after that comment your password as well. Joking. I’m joking.video
